Although we need to physically distance ourselves from each other right now, we’re fortunate to have the option to stay in touch digitally. If you’re new to my online bookshop, welcome! Having owned a small indie brick and mortar bookstore at one time, my first recommendation is to ALWAYS purchase your books from a local bookshop or borrow from a local library! However, neither of those options is available to everyone right now. Lots of bookstores are offering curbside service, which I certainly hope many of you take advantage of. But most libraries are closed and many bookshops have closed up too.
That said, for me and my family, reading has been a great escape during the quarantine. My kids are downing series like never before. We’ve been pulling out books from the garage and re-reading some of our beloved favorites. But I’ve also been jumping online and downloading electronic style books. I don’t even own an e-reader but it’s simple to read from the free Kindle app on my iPhone – you can too (it’s right in the app store)! And I sometimes even just use the free Kindle Cloud reader on my MacBook.
Some of my friends and family have asked me to motor up my old online bookshop to start offering the daily Kindle e-book deals again. So, here we are! Every morning I’ll select about a dozen books that are on sale that day ($4.99 or less). Every day it’s another motley assortment: fiction, history, biography, cookbooks, crafting books, gardening, parenting, business, etc. So, please check back daily – you never know when something you’ve been wanting to read will suddenly pop up as a daily deal.
Looking forward to connecting with you through books.
